SWI Media Resource Center is the Facility of Choice for the Museum and Art World.

Since moving to its new downtown location, Scharff Weisberg Media Resource Center (SWIMRC) continues to be quite busy. Of particular note were a number of international high

profile Media arts projects highlighted by the well known Parisian exhibit by Aziz + Cucher:

Aziz + Cucher- Synaptic Bliss: VILLETTE, Paris A four-channel video and sound environment that "evokes the four

seasons as well as the cycles of life in a world halfway between organic and digital." The piece plays in an 18-minute loop. SWIMRC supplied 10-bit file conversion to Digital Betacam, DVD production and mastering for show-control, Dolby 5.1 surround sound editing and encoding.

Museum of Modern Art- Yoshio Taniguchi: Nine Museums This exhibition presents nine of Taniguchi's (the Architect of the new Moma) museum designs central to understanding his approach to architecture. The video portion of the exhibition is projected as a three-screen Watchout presentation with each projector showing a 720P synced HD-MPEG 2 File with a Dolbly 5.1 surround track. Editorial work along with HD-MPEG 2 and 5.1 Surround Sound encoding was performed at SWIMRC.

Peter Cunningham Photographer- A Celebration Of Excellence and Life on Earth.This prolific photographer created Dataton Watchout three-screen environment and came to SWIMRC to devise a way to distribute his work in a non-projected platform. SWIMRC fabricated a unique process that can covert the artist's work to a myriad of formats including HD-Windows Media 9, HD-MPEG 2, DVD and others.

Tate Modern, London- Joan Jonas, "Lines In the Sand" and "Sweeny"Multi-standard DVD authoring for several DVD titles and 10-bit Digital Betacam mastering of the pioneering media artist's works for an exhibition at the Tate Modern in London.

American Museum of the Moving Image Editing, MPEG 2 encoding and DVD production for a new exhibit on the history of Loews Theaters,

Bravo/ Kaufman Films- 100 Most Scariest Movie Moments

This Series counts down the most bone-chilling moments in cinematic history. Airing during the week of Halloween 2004, it was the networks highest second-rated series in its history. SWIMRC provided DVD production and digital Betacam laybacks in conjunction with Gramercy Post, an audio facility affiliated with the MRC.

The Scharff Weisberg Media Resource Center provides SD/HD post-production services for the presentation professional. Services include presentation support; digital, non-linear editing; professional DVD authoring and MPEG2 encoding; multi-media compression services; and video transfers, duplications and international standards conversions.
