SWI Provides Lighting, Video, Audio and Staging for 'People' Magazine's Annual Heroes Amoung Us Luncheon

Scharff Weisberg was the provider of AV and lighting support for PEOPLE Magazine's 4th annual "Heroes Among Us"
luncheon held on November 8, 2004 at the New York Public ibrary. The company was retained by the event designer IKUS and Company.
"Our goal was to make PEOPLE's 'Heroes Among Us' luncheon top-notch quality,' commented IKUS' Travis Jackson, who produced the signature event. "Since I was familiar with Scharff Weisberg and their background with large shows with high production values, I immediately thought they could take this event to the next level."
Scharff Weisberg provided lighting, video, audio and staging and coordinated scenic from Scenicorp. The equipment package included two Barco R10s on a 9x12 screen in a hard set, three cameras, a Grass Valley 110 switcher, a Meyer M1 D array with 4 M1 D subwoofers for PA, 12 channel Sennheiser wireless lavs, Beta SP video playback, a large complement of ETC lighting and 100 feet of 12x12 box truss.
"IKUS and Company was keen creating a memorable afternoon that would impress the heard to impress," explained Guy Bostian, Scharff Weisberg's Project Manger. "With Scenic and Lighting, we designed a beautiful set augmented with superb lighting. All the equipment was flown from trusses, making the room look fantastic. Additionally, the Meyer Array system sounded incredible."
